Old World Meets New.
When old world Italian-American meets new culinary talents and techniques, it’s a good thing. When those things meet the hole in your face, it’s Buonissimo! All these happy things come together at Carbone, the charming downtown New York spot on Thompson Street. Partners Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick took over the space of the iconic Rocco Restaurant, keeping the tradition of great Italian-American alive and well, with a major facelift and a total menu overhaul.
Traditional favorites that received their contemporary magic touches include Veal Parmesan, Chicken Scarpariello, Linguini Vongole, and Lobster Fra Diavola. But it’s not just the old favorites you’ll feel like you’re tasting for the first time. You can also feast your taste buds on exciting new creations like Dungeness Crab Stracciatella, Skate Francese and Chinese Chicken.
