An Epic Evolution.
After frolicking with blue-footed boobies and strolling with the giant tortoises in the Galapagos last year, you really developed an appreciation for evolution. It’s a beautiful thing. And what applies to the animal kingdom also applies in the realm of the motorcycle, as proven by the latest evolution of Yamaha’s Sports Heritage Range. It took 20 years, but today that journey has brought us the 2015 Yamaha XJR1300 Motorcycle, and it is stunning.
It’s got the power and technology of a modern machine, with the largest displacement inline-4 air-cooled engine on the market today, but the sweet design elements of a 70’s racer, like a sleek racer-style fuel tank and a retro aluminum side cover with number plate with three mesh inserts. The 4-cylinder DOHC 1,250cc air-cooled engine puts out 98hp, and the visual and physical power of the engine is complemented by the XJR1300’s stripped down design, slim tank and aluminum handlebars. In the rear, you’ve got black 4-2-1 exhaust and a new styled tail cap design, for a literal finishing touch. Perfection.
