Santera Tequila

Important Breaking Tequila News.

Stop what you’re doing right now and clear some space on your top shelf. There’s a new player in the tequila game, and you’re going to want to get a piece of this action immediately. Say “hola” to Santera Tequila,  ($50.00) a premium spirit from the heart of Jalisco, Mexico’s northern highlands, the most sought after blue agave and tequila producing region in the world. Santera is “born of a mystical piety, and honors a female saint who once walked the ashen earth, touching those with a thirst for an ultimate redemption.”

A spiritual spirit indeed. Distilled and bottled by Destilladora del Valle de Tequila Casa Maestri, Santera Tequila begins with the perfectly matured Blue Agave Tequilana Weber, which is grown in the red volcanic soil of the majestic Volcán de Tequila, i.e. the best place on earth to birth tequila. All three of Santera’s offerings—Blanco, Reposado and Añejo—are aged perfectly in French oak barrels. The Blanco for eight months, the Reposado for sixteen, and finally, the heavenly Añejo gets 22 months, for an elegant end result that is muy, muy sippable and delicioso. Starting June 1, Santera makes its American debut in NYC at fine retailers, bars and restaurants, so keep your eyes peeled and get to sipping.
