Tap, Tap, Tap That Maple Rye.
A good whisky is like a McDonald's McGriddle-tasty, well-balanced and even better with a hint of maple syrup. If that sounds good to you (and how could it not?), you should tap into a bottle of TAP 357 Maple Rye Whisky. It combines the absolute best of Canada's contributions to plant earth—genuine, rustic rye and a tinge of maple syrup that's sweet yet subtle, creating a well-balanced spirit that's perfect for sipping or mixing.
TAP 357 gets its name from the "tapping" it takes to get syrup from Canadian maple trees, and their unique blend of rye whiskies that are cask aged for 3, 5 and 7 years. The aging takes place in handcrafted, American White Oak barrels, which add notes of coconut, vanilla and herbs. As if that's not delicious enough on its own, the inner wall of each barrel gets a special medium toast char to add notes of leather, smoke and chocolate.
Salivating yet? Understandable. So we understand if you just want to enjoy TAP 357 on its own to truly enjoy the full benefit of its flavors, but we have to warn you—you might really be missing out if you're not mixing cocktails with it. We enjoy the Snazerac, a delicious twist on the New Orleans favorite, with absinthe and some new surprises, and the Montreal, which is kind of like a Manhattan, only Canadian (get it?). Check out their website for these recipes and more. Enjoy!
