HIYA!
Even though you weren’t of moving-going-age in the 80’s, you can still appreciate the cult classics (and the junk food) from that era. Superman, The Last Dragon, Rocky, and Star Wars never get old. Big Trouble Little China ($9.00) is no exception. The 1986 comedy, directed by John Carpenter and starring Kurt Russell, is a slapstick parody of the martial arts genre. The film follows Russell, a half-witted truck driver, as he tries to rescue his friend’s fiancé from the mystic underworld beneath Chinatown. Russell’s big talk and sad game provide hilarious distraction from the Kung Fu combat taking place around him. Careful though, you wouldn’t want an ill-timed guffaw to cause the Cool Ranch Doritos and fizzy Tab party in your mouth to come spraying out your nose.
